Deep Drift ("we", "the game", or "us") is a free browser puzzle in which players sort bioluminescent sea creatures into reef columns. This Privacy Policy describes our data practices in plain terms. We believe privacy, like the ocean floor, should be transparent.
By playing Deep Drift you accept this policy. If you do not accept it, please do not use the game.
We designed Deep Drift to operate without collecting personal information. Specifically:
Deep Drift does not deploy advertising cookies, analytics tracking pixels, social-media widgets, or cross-site identifiers of any kind. The only client-side storage used is localStorage for your in-game state, which stays on your device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings without affecting your ability to play.
To display its distinctive typography, Deep Drift loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may result in a request to Google's servers. That interaction is governed by Google's privacy policy, which we encourage you to review. No other third-party services, SDKs, or data-sharing arrangements are present in the game.
Deep Drift is a calm, non-violent ocean puzzle suitable for all ages. We do not collect personal information from any player, so the question of children's data does not arise in practice. We do not direct the game at children under thirteen for the purpose of collecting their data.
Because we hold no personal records, exercising a right to access, correct, or erase your data is as simple as clearing your browser's localStorage. If you have questions about what, if any, server log data relates to you, contact us and we will respond promptly.
Deep Drift does not transfer personal data internationally. Game state exists only in your browser. If server logs are stored in a particular jurisdiction by our hosting provider, that provider's data protection practices govern those logs.
We may revise this Privacy Policy as the game evolves. Any changes will appear on this page with a new effective date. Your continued play after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
Questions about this policy are welcome. We aim to respond within a few business days.
